How do the tamales arrive? Pick-up & Delivery: Tamales arrive hot and ready to serve. Shipping: Tamales arrive frozen inside reusable Styrofoam cooler(s) packed with dry ice or reusable ice packs. How much do you charge for delivery in Austin, TX? We deliver anywhere in Austin, all year long! Our delivery charges are based on the location, distance, and order type. Delivery charges may vary. Ask about FREE delivery! How long will they keep? 5 - 6 months frozen, 7 days in your refrigerator. How many tamales come in a typical order? One (1) order of our delicious tamales contains ten (10) tamales, but feel free to buy any amount! Simply let us know the quantity (size of order) you would like to request for that special party or event. How long do I heat them? Microwave: Reheating tamales in the microwave is the fastest and easiest option. Our tamales will remain best if wrapped with a damped paper towel or inside a microwave-safe container. If tamale(s) are frozen: defrost for 1-3 minutes in microwave (as needed). Place tamales in a [microwave safe] cooking sheet or container. Do NOT remove the husk from the tamales! Finally Heat tamale(s) in microwave for 1 - 3 tamales = 2 - 4 minutes 4 - 7 tamales = 5 - 6 minutes 8 - 10 tamales = 6 - 9 minutes Steam: Place our delicious tamales in a steamer basket over boiling water for about 5-12 minutes.
